WHAT TO WEAR
Most importantly, we encourage you to come just as you are! That being said, those that come to our church dress in many different ways. Some wear jeans and t-shirts, some men wear suits and some ladies wear dresses, and some even wear flip-flops!
There is parking for guests near the Welcome Center on the corner of Calhoun Rd and Three Notch Road. You should see the visitor parking signs as soon as you turn into the lot. You can also park in the lot next to the Auditorium, in front of the First Place. More parking can be found in the rear of the church.
We actually have two areas where you can find greeters and ushers who will give you a big smile and directions of where to go! They will also escort you to a seat in the Auditorium if you need assistance, or take you and your children to their classes. The first area is our Welcome Center which is right next to our visitor parking spaces. The other welcome area is our Atrium which can be accessed from the rear of the building.
We have two worship services in the Auditorium each Sunday, one at 9AM and the other at 10:30AM. These services are identical in music and preaching. We have “multigenerational” worship meaning Kindergartners through Senior Adults worship together each Sunday. For those under the age of 5, read on!
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We offer childcare for birth-4 years old in our Preschool/Nursery Area during both of our services. All of our workers have had background checks and have been well-trained to provide for all of the children that come through our ministry. You can learn more about this ministry by going to our Preschool/Nursery Ministry page.
There are small group Sunday School classes for all ages at both 9AM and 10:30AM every Sunday. Babies and preschoolers (through age 4) can attend both Sunday School times. Kindergarten through Senior Adults attend one Sunday School class and one Worship service every Sunday. A greeter in the Welcome Center can direct you (and your children) to the right class for you.
If you are interested in joining with FBTC and becoming a member, you can do this at the end of the Worship service during the Invitation time. There, the pastor will ask you if you have made a commitment to Christ and if you have been baptized. You will then be presented as a candidate for membership.
To become a full member of FBTC, you will be required to attend one membership class. This class is typically scheduled for the last Sunday of each month at 5pm. You can register for the class by calling the church office at 251-661-0114
A person who receives Jesus Christ as Savior by personal faith, who professes Him publicly at any worship service, and who indicates a commitment to follow Christ as Lord, is a candidate for Baptism. Baptism is by immersion in water and is an important step in your commitment to follow Christ. Baptisms are scheduled by the church office and take place on Sunday nights in the 6PM Worship service.
