Will my child be safe?

We employ a strict, check-in, check-out security policy at FBTC. A security card or pager will be given when you sign in your child. Please list on the sign in sheet where you will be located on campus. Check the pager to insure that it has been activated. If you are needed, the pager will vibrate or your number will show up on the call box located on the wall at the front of the sanctuary.

What if my child has a runny nose?

For the protection of your child and others, parents are asked not to bring a child who appears ill or has had any of the following during the previous 24 hours: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, any symptoms of childhood diseases, such as scarlet fever, measles, chicken pox, cold, green nasal discharge, sore throat, croup, any unexplained rash or skin infections such as boils, ringworms, impetigo, pink eye or any other eye infections.

My child has peanut allergies. Can I bring snacks from home?

Due to severe peanut allergies, we ask that no food containing peanut butter or nuts be brought into the preschool. Snacks and food activities are available often in preschool. If your child has any allergies or a special need related to food, please notify the teacher. You may pick up an allergy alert sticker located at the preschool desk. Infants and toddlers may be fed a bottle that has been provided to us, however, time and circumstances do not allow us to feed your child baby food.

I am still nursing my child. Is there a place I can do this privately?

For our newborn parents, a private nursing area is available in the newborn room.

Do I need to stay on campus while my child is in preschool?

Yes! For safety and security reasons, parents are required to stay on campus while their children are in the Preschool Department.
